An exciting new role has become available with one of our Clients, here are the details for the experience needed for this vacancy:
- Commercetools API: A solid understanding of the Commercetools API is essential, as the platform is based on an API-first approach. Understanding how to interact with the API to manage products, shopping carts, orders and more is critical.
- Microservices: Because Commercetools uses a microservices architecture, architects and consultants must understand the principles and best practices associated with building and maintaining microservices-based systems.
- Programming and Web Development: A good knowledge of web programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js), Java or PHP can be essential for customizations and development of specific functions.
- Integration: The ability to integrate Commercetools with other systems, such as customer management systems (CRM), content management systems (CMS) or ERP systems, is crucial.
This may involve the use of integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, GraphQL and webhooks. Security: A good understanding of e-commerce security practices, including customer data protection and transaction security, is essential.
- Cloud expertise: Commercetools is based on cloud architectures. Therefore, it is beneficial to have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure, as well as understanding concepts such as automatic scalability and cloud resource management.
- Development Tools: Familiarity with development tools and environments such as Git for version control, Docker for containerization, and CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) tools.
- E-Commerce Domain Knowledge: A good understanding of e-commerce principles, market trends and industry-specific needs to design effective, customer-centric solutions.
- User Experience (UX): Considering the user experience is crucial to the success of any e-commerce platform. Expertise in user interface (UI) and UX design can be beneficial.
- Analysis and Problem Solving: The ability to analyse and solve complex problems is essential, as architects and consultants will often face unique challenges during the design and implementation of solutions.
